Event: National Public Lands Day – Trail Maintenance

National Public Lands Day – Trail Maintenance
Sep
30

To celebrate National Public Lands Day, SNMTA is partnering with the Friends of Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks and the Bureau of Land Management to hold a trail maintenance day at Dripping Springs Natural Area. Trail maintenance is just one of many activities going on throughout the day. Check here for a list of all of the activities happening to celebrate our public lands.

We will be doing trail maintenance on the Filmore and Arroyo trails. Trail maintenance will consist of clipping back vegetation and tread work to improve drainage. SNMTA will provide the tools, gloves, and guidance. Please bring anything you need including water, snacks, and appropriate clothing (hat, pants, long sleeves, closed toe shoes, sunglasses, etc.).

Meet at the Dripping Springs Visitor Center at 9 AM. We will work until noon.
