What: This volunteer trail work day is part of the Monumental Trails Program, a partnership between the Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance and Friends of Organ Mountains – Desert Peaks
When: January 7, 2017 8am-12pm
Where: Sierra Vista Trail – Talavera Trailhead
Directions: From the intersection of Univesity and I-25, follow University Dr. east towards the mountains for approximately 4 miles. After passing Tortugas “A” Mountain, turn right onto Soledad Canyon Road. This road makes a hard left just before the Talavera fire station. Continue on the road towards the mountains until you arrive at the trailhead on the south side of Soledad Canyon Road.
Volunteers will meet at the Talavera trailhead on Soledad Canyon Road. We will work until 1pm but anyone can show up or leave as they wish. No experience is needed. Tools, water, and instruction will be provided. Please bring snacks, water bottle, and any other personal items you need to be comfortable and safe on the trails.
