This challenging out and back singletrack course parallels the westside of the rugged Organ Mountains along the Sierra Vista Trail. What this course may lack in dramatic elevation loss/gain it more than makes up for in sweeping desert views and demanding trail conditions. Our goal is to promote the local running community and to provide everyone with an opportunity to utilize the amazing public land access we have outside our door. Grown out of a love for running trails, we hope you’ll make it out for this fun and low key race!

The Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance brings you the 6th annual running of the Sierra Vista Trail Runs. The trail race is a fundraiser for the Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance.
For 2017 we have added a 5k and a free 1 mile kid’s fun run! As in past years, there will also be the longer distances: 50k, 30k and 10k.
We keep registration low to make trail racing financially accessible for more people. Until the New Years Day, registration costs are $1/kilometer and an old pair of shoes.

50k registration includes a unique t-shirt designed by a local artist and a finishers award. T-shirts can be ordered for $15 extra for the other distances. If you want a T-shirt please register early. Sizes cannot be guaranteed after February 12, 2017. Extras will be ordered but sizes and quantities will be limited and available on a first come first serve basis. There will be awards for top three men and women in all distances. Post race awards and food will be provided.

The 50k will begin at 7AM, 30k will begin at 8:00AM
The 10k will begin at 9AM 5k at 9:15AM and kid’s fun run at 12PM.

The trail race is a fundraiser for the Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance and all proceeds will be donated to the SNMTA to improve the trails and outdoor recreation in the area, snmta.org.

Please bring a used pair of shoes as part of the registration. We will be donating all the shoes to the homeless community at the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope, http://www.mvcommunityofhope.org/
